Benefits of Liobank’s Automatic Savings Feature

Turn on this feature to get 3.5% annual interest on your positive account balance. We will accrue 3.5% if you have at least 500,000 VND of your own funds and the money is on account for at least 30 days

How does “Automatic Savings” work?

Top up your Liobank account with a minimum of 500,000 VND

After the 1-month term ends (counted from the end of the first day you maintain a 500,000 VND balance), you will earn interest at a rate of 3.5% per year

At the end of the day, if your account balance remains at least 500,000 VND, Liobank will automatically create a savings account for you. Your balance will not be locked, and you can still use it anytime

Note:

Even after Liobank automatically creates a savings account based on your balance, you can still use your card and account for transactions as usual. Interest at the end of the term will be calculated based on the remaining balance in your savings account when the term ends

How to activate the “Automatic Savings” feature?

Open the Liobank app, go to the “More” section, and select “3.5% on Your Balance.”
Once tapped, you will see information on how the Automatic Savings feature works before activating it
Activate the “Automatic Savings” feature and you’re all set. From now on, you will earn additional interest on your account balance (for balances from VND 500,000). To check the interest earned from your Automatic Savings account, view the Statement section on the “Card Settings” screen

For examples

If your end-of-day account balance is VND 1,220,000, Liobank will automatically create a savings account with the corresponding amount at the end of the day

If your end-of-day account balance is VND 497,000, Liobank will not create a savings account at the end of the day

What is the minimum amount required to open an Automatic Savings account?

To open an Automatic Savings account, you need a minimum balance of VND 500,000. The feature will start once your account balance reaches VND 500,000 or more at the end of the day. If your end-of-day balance is below VND 500,000, an Automatic Savings account will not be created

What is the interest rate for the Automatic Savings account?

The deposit interest rate for the Automatic Savings account is 3.5% per year. If you withdraw before maturity — meaning you use up the balance before the term ends — the applicable interest rate will be 0% per year

Can I close my savings account?

To close the account, simply turn off the “Automatic Savings” feature in the “3.5% on Your Balance” section under “More.”

What happens if my personal account balance falls below VND 500,000?

If your balance is below VND 500,000, an Automatic Savings account will not be created
